Small Business Big Country takes the #shoplocal concept to new heights

Bright Graphic Design in partnership with TruColor, The Greater Mauldin Chamber of Commerce and Edward Jones' Financial Advisor Liston Gainey join forces to empower local business owners better position their businesses online

Greenville, South Carolina, Nov 22, 2021 – The Holidays shopping season is around the corner so Bright Graphic Design, an Upstate SC marketing agency, has created a campaign to raise awareness to the need of supporting local businesses owners in their struggle to be found online. The campaign called “Small Business Big Country” is being sponsored by Secured Advantage Federal Credit Union and they expect 250 businesses to participate in November and December.

The goal is to make the campaign grow and run year-round, so they are inviting more businesses to join. TruColor Print has printed the campaign’s free kit containing a poster, magnet, and sticker, which is available to all of the participating businesses. The kits will be available for pick up at the Mauldin Chamber, TruColor and Financial Advisor Liston Gainey’s office. Digital assets are also available at BrightGraphicDesign.com/SBBC. Unlike other shop small campaigns, Small Business Big Country was created to help local businesses owners learn the digital tools they need to better position their businesses online, so people can find them and #shoplocal with them.

Bright is offering free webinars on digital tools and starting in 2022, workshops will be available to all businesses. The content goes from creating a Google My Business page to automating social media posting and design for social media. A series of free e-Books will also be released and will be free available at the agency’s website.

According to the Florida Tax Watch, nationally, small businesses account for 48% of all American jobs and contribute 43.5% of U.S. Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Even though these businesses are considered the “backbone of the economy”, small businesses have faced an economic and existential crisis during the COVID-19 pandemic. People want to support local businesses, but if they are not found online, it makes it that much harder for these businesses to survive.

“We’re committed to assisting and engaging with local businesses and to make this campaign a success. We know that even a small group of individuals can make a BIG impact in our community. Our goal is to reach as many people as possible during the November-December shopping season,” said Clarissa Gainey, Creative Director and Founder of Bright.

To make the campaign possible, Bright Graphic Design has partnered with TruColor, The Greater Mauldin Chamber of Commerce, Edward Jones' Financial Advisor Liston Gainey, and has the support of GSA Business Report and The F-Suite Magazine. But more help is needed. Sponsorships for the campaign start at $150, and all help is welcome.

“The Greater Mauldin Chamber of Commerce is excited to partner with Bright Graphic Design to promote ‘Small Business, Big Country’. Now more than ever we encourage everyone to buy local and support our local businesses. Small businesses foster local economies by creating jobs and supporting our communities," said Pat Pomeroy, CEO of Greater Mauldin Chamber of Commerce.
